singer sewing machine

I bought this sewing machine from a lady who told me it worked good and that it was only missing one little piece that could be easily found on ebay.  When we got it home, we discovered that there was more than one little piece missing and it didn't run well.  Since I don't want to do that to someone else, I am listing all the things that I think are missing.  The Slide Plate is available on Ebay, but it appears to also be missing a spool pin, and the bobbin case.  The light does NOT turn on, I am guessing that it only needs a new light bulb.  And when it is plugged in, The small gear in as shown in the first picture below is the only thing that moves.  I know that this needs a lot of work, that is why I am only asking $25.00 for it.  This is a Model: AE268436 (which is from 1936 according to Singer's website).

You can contact me on facebook, or through the comments section on this blog.  Thanks for looking.

hot tub for sale-- SOLD

This is a post about the hot tub we are selling.  We are asking $200.00, and it is a fixer upper, but nothing major.  Here is a list of things that it needs:  a new cover, a thermostat, and a small leak/drip fixed.  This is an as is sale, and the buyer will have to haul off of the property.
Jacuzzi Essence 350, 1999 model.  In great shape, with clean interior.

This is a video of the jets working.

This is the filter that is in it right now.  It is clean, and still has some use left in it.

This is the control panel.  It has 4 settings, low jets, low jets with light, high jets with light, and high jets.

We put water in it, and ran the jets to make sure that they were working.  All of them are in working condition.

This is the "innards".  The leak is a small drip, and off to the side.  Everything else looked good.  Some sealant would be all it took to take care of the leak.

lunchables junior

As a member of Crowdtap, I have the opportunity to get try samples from different brands.  This time, I was fortunate enough to win a sample of the new Lunchables Junior.

We got the Blueberry Bonanza, and the Teddy Bear Picnic.

I had two helpers try out these great snacks, and they had fun eating them, and even playing with them.

Overall, the kids loved these treats, and they had fun playing with them too.

old navy party

Once again, as a member of the website Crowdtap, I was chosen to host an Old Navy party.  So, myself and 3 of my friends were able to go and see what they have to offer for this summer's swimwear, beach towels, and flip flops.

I invited my mom, and my 2 sister-in-laws to join me for a girls day.  Unfortunately, one of my sis-in-laws was unable to attend, but my other sis-in-law brought her daughter who is old enough to fit into some of the women's sizes, so it worked out great.

We started out day with a yummy lunch at a local bakery/restaurant.  I wish I had taken a picture of the chicken nachos I had, because they were fantastic.  In fact, Gary Sinise, has family in the area, and enjoys eating at this particular bakery too.

After we ate, we went across the street to the mall, to our local Old Navy.  As soon, as I got there I went to one of the employees and asked her if she knew about Crowdtap.  She immediately told me she didn't think they were accepting them, because they thought they were illegal.  She did contact her manager though, and we were given the go ahead to shop around.

My mom and I chose some fantastic bags.  I particularly loved the flag bag.  So.cute.
Trying on some cute flip flops.
Over all, we had a great time checking out all the amazing deals and great designs at old navy.  I was able to bring home the flag bag, swimsuit, a pair of teal flip flops, and a stars and stripes beach towel.  My mom took home that fantastic brown bag, my sis-in-law grabbed a sweet beach towel, and her daughter got a cute swimsuit.  All just for being a part of crowdtap!

I also bought my daughter a cute swimsuit so she can look great this summer while out at the pool or running through the sprinklers.

Once again, i was able to do a sample and share, but this time it was for the new cottonelle wipes, and toilet paper.  It was kind of fun giving away the wipes and the toilet paper to my friends, and we were able to use the wipes.  It was definitely a new experience.  As the mother of little kids, I can't get my mind around the fact that these wipes are not for them, but for those of us using the toilet.  It did make a difference on how clean we all felt after doing our business.  :)

the two samples for my friends.
This was the light blue wipes box.  It was kind of nice to have a variety in the color of container.

As a member of the website Crowdtap, I get the opportunity to apply for "sample and shares".  I enjoy this, because I get to use products that I normally wouldn't buy and I can compare them to the products that I do buy.

One of the most recent sample/shares that I had was for Woolite.  I used the product on my clothes, but as with a sample like this, I can't honestly say if it made a difference or not.  I would have to use it on the long term.

My clothes did, however, smell clean, and they came out just as clean as they do with the detergent that I normally use.

I was able to give out some samples to my friends to try, as well.

This is the one that I used.  It had a nice coupon to purchase a larger Woolite.

The samples.

new name?

I'm thinking of changing the name of this blog.  Since I am also going to add some other things to this blog, I think it needs a better name.  If anyone reads this still, I would love some ideas...
