the hat

This hat was borrowed from the great people that took my family on the mule ride.

Walkin' away

I loved the wagon wheel they had in front of their house.

This is a favorite!

Again, more wagon wheel

These are more photos taken when we were going on the wagon ride.

Hiding behind the wagon wheel.

Going for a walk.

Here is one of the pictures with the hat. I have some more that I will post next time. :)

The mules loved smelling Clyde. I thought they might try to eat him.

taken for a ride

We have some friends that invited us out to their home so the kids could go on a mule-pulled wagon ride. It was lots of fun, and they were kind enough to even let me take pictures of the boots around their place. She even lent me a cowboy hat to use, but I'll save those pics for another day.

Cherry Springs

There is a great little walking trail south of town called Cherry Springs. I decided to take the kids for a walk, and of course the boots had to come along. . .

There is a cement stage, and several of these wooden benches, kind of like a small nature amphitheater. What you can't see is the show that my kids were putting on for me on that stage. :)

This photo and the one below are the same concept, just different approaches. I think I like the second one better.

These two are also the same shot, just from different angles. Again, I like the second one better it has a little more feeling to it.

day at the zoo

I ended up taking the kids to the zoo about week before they closed for the winter, and since it was a rather slow at the zoo, I didn't feel too silly about putting two pairs of cowboy boots in my stroller with the kids.

Hanging out in the kids play area.

Bonnie was attacked by a vicious lion.

Clyde was having fun balancing on the tiger.

heavy machinery

These are some more of the tractors and work trucks out at my sis-in-laws house. I had tons of fun putting poor Bonnie underneath some of the trucks. :)

Under the road cleaner. She needed polishing. . . right?

Driving the tractors.

"In John Deere green" . . .
Got a little too close to the farm equipment.

hangin' around

These are few pictures of both Bonnie and Clyde. The pictures of Bonnie were taken even before I had Clyde.

This first picture is of Clyde while I was still wandering around the arena. I thought it might look interesting if he was sitting on the fence...

We were at my husband's sister's house, and they have lots of farm equipment, so I just couldn't resist having some fun with Bonnie. (you need to click on this picture to make it bigger to appreciate the sticker).

horsing around

It amazes me how much these horses wanted give these boots a good sniff.

This has to be my second favorite. My husband thinks I should take Bonnie and Clyde back and put both of them in the hay. :)

The orchard

This is the orchard right next to the rock barn. I had fun trudging through the high grass, and not knowing if I was going to step on a cow patty. :)

The beautiful lilac tree between the orchard and the barn.

Okay, this one didn't turn out like I had hoped. I really wanted it to look like he was just relaxing by the tree. But it really just looks like The Invisible Man was passed out.

This one turned out a lot better.

The Old Rock Barn

My former employer and now friend, I hope, owns this very cool old rock barn, with an arena and an apple orchard. I went over there one day with just Clyde, but I think I will have to make another trip very soon with both Clyde and Bonnie.

This is the old rock barn.

These stairs lead up to the top of the rock barn.

This is Rocky, checking out Clyde.

rail roaded

You wouldn't believe the strange looks I got from people as they drove by while I was trying to take pictures on the railroad tracks. :)

creek or crick

I found this great little creek, going through a small park area and thought it would be interesting to see if I could get it to feel like the boots were going to cross this stream.

more memorial day

These were also taken at the cemetery on Memorial Day. It was a drizzling a little bit, so I put in the umbrella to see if using props would work.

I think this first one is the better of the two.

This was taken on Memorial Day this year. It is by far, one of my favorites of Clyde.

Grillin' time

These are some of the first images of Clyde that I took, I was still playing around with perspective, i.e. did I want to see the whole boot, or make it look like someone was still in them. The main purpose is to make them look alive, in their own way.
